Prof.Volodymyr Kozijavkin is the founder of the Rehabilitation Center and has been its permanent director since 1989. He is the author of more than 80 medical publications. Dr.V.Kozijavkin was born on June 9, 1947. In 1971, he graduated from the Grodno Medical Institute. In 1992, he completed his postgraduate work: "Manual Therapy for the Rehabilitation of Patients with Cerebral Palsy". In 1996, he completed his doctoral work: "Structural and Functional Pathology of the Spinal and Cerebral Structures in Patients with Cerebral Palsy and Rehabilitation System for Such Patients". In 1994, Volodymyr Kozijavkin was awarded the title of Honored Scientist and Technician of Ukraine. He was presented a Distinction of the President of Ukraine and an Honorable State Order of Ukraine in 1997. In December, 1999, amongst other Ukrainian Doctors of Medicine, Prof.Volodymyr Kozijavkin, MD was awarded a State Prize in the field of Science and Technics of Ukraine. In 2001, Prof.Volodymyr Kozijavkin, MD was awarded the Bavarian Medal "For efforts in helping children with special needs", Order of the National Fund "Ukraine for Children", and both State Title and State Order "Hero of Ukraine" for "outstanding personal efforts to Ukrainian State in development of new methods for the treatment of patients with organic lesions of the nervous system".
